    Sponsored Listings are generally paid advertisements. They usually appear at the top of the results or on a narrow right side bar. Most search engines have short text listings, and you pay for each person who clicks on your ad and visits your site.     Banner Advertising is available on search engines (not google.com) and many other websites and blogs. Banner ads allow you to place a graphic on their pages. These banners are paid for based on the number of times it is viewed, with no guarantee that anyone will actually click on the ad and visit your site. We don't usually recommend this type of advertising, unless it is highly targeted and carefully tracked to ensure you are not wasting you money, so it won't be covered further.

    Organic Listings usually appear in the middle of the page, or in the largest area on the page. Most reports show that around 80% of all searchers click on the organic results area, which makes ranking well in the organic search very important. Organic search engine listings are usually ranked based on the relevance of the web page to the keyword phrase searched for. You CANNOT pay the major search engines to increase your ranking in the organic listings.
